Her father played for the University of British Columbia and New Westminster Blues of the Pacific Coast Soccer League, while her mother was involved in track and soccer.

Sinclair’s international football career began in January 2000 when she was 16 years old. As captured, she was invited to play for the Canadian national team at the insistence of the then coach, Even Pellerud.
