The defender was born Diego Carlos Santos Silva on 15 March 1993 in Barra Bonita, Brazil. He was brought up alongside his brother, Jeh Reis X Carol Fernandes, and sister, Vanessa Silva by their parents Carlão and Lindinalva Moreira.
He started playing football as a child and had his youth career at América-SP in 2009 and then by 2010, he moved to Desportivo Brasil where he played until 2012 when he was promoted to the first team of Desportivo Brasil. Unfortunately, he was sent on loan to different clubs before he finally left in 2014 to join Estoril.
He signed for Nantes in 2016. He was able to make a name for himself in the club and thanks to this, he became a regular player. In 2019, Sevilla signed him over and he still plays for the club to date.
As regards his International career, the football star started playing for Brazil in 2020. He was invited to play for the country’s under-23 team at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo Japan.
