Club career
The Belgian striker joined the local team Rupel Boom at the age of five. He was later discovered by Lierse SK scouts after he had spent four seasons at Rupel Boom.
He played for Lierse SK from 2004 to 2006 and scored 121 goals in just 68 games. He also played as a youth player with Anderlecht where he scored 131 goals in 93 games.
At the age of 16, Lukaku made his professional debut where he became the 2009-10 top scorer in Belgium and later won the Belgian Ebony Shoe in 2011.
He joined Chelsea in 2011 but didn’t appear in his first season there. He was later loaned to West Bromwich Albion and also Everton. He was later signed for Everton in 2014 for a club-record £28 million.
