Tim Kurkjian is a famous American author, journalist, and media personality who currently works for ESPN as a sports analyst. He is part of ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter shows and is a regular face on the Dan LeBatard Show with Dan Le Batard and Tony Kornheiser show with Tony Kornheiser.

Tim Kurkjian was born Timothy Bell Kurkjian on the 10th day of December 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland, US, to his father Badrig Jeff Kurkjian, a mathematician, and his mother Joyce Joy Kurkjian.
Tim’s father is a lover of sports, especially baseball; no wonder he instilled in him his love for both the game of baseball and statistics at a very tender age.
He attended Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda where he played both basketball and baseball for the school’s team.
Tim graduated from high school in1974 and was admitted into the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism in the same year. This is where Tim’s journalism career began. He covered high school sports for his hometown newspaper “The Montgomery Journal.”
In 1978, he graduated with a BA in journalism and took up writing with the Washington Post as a starter, and by 1981 he was promoted to a staff writer.
