1. How Yainee Alonso met Manny Machado
Yainee Alonso and Manny Machado met when they were still students at the University of Miami. At the time, Yainee’s brother, like Manny, was also playing baseball for the University team and it was through this baseball connection that the two lovers met.
After meeting, they fell for each other but only remained friends at first. In fact, they kept their relationship at that level for up to a year before they started dating.
2. Alonso’s engagement to Machado and marriage
It seems the lovebirds were taken with each other at a very young age, before spring training in February 2013, Machado cleared the air about their secret engagement. He shared this information with the Baltimore sun explaining how excited their families were especially his friend Yonder.
