Jama is an OAP who was born on the 14th of August 1994 in Bristol England. Her father, Hussein Jama has a Somalian descent while her mother, Sadie is of Swedish origin. Maya’s mother named her daughter after Maya Angelou, an American poet, memoirist, author, and civil rights activist. Maya has a brother, Omar who grew up under their mother’s care with help from their father’s side of the family.
