Diallo was born to a family of 3 kids in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on the 11th of July 2002. Of African descent, he was brought up by his father Hamed Mamadou Traore, and his mother Marina Traore, alongside an elder brother Hamed Junior Traore.

Diallo moved to Atlanta in 2015 after many Serie A clubs started picking interest in him. Between 2018 and 2019, Diallo was able to score 12 goals and 16 assists in 16 under-17 games. He also had 6 goals and 6 assists in 26 games in the Campionato Primavera 1, the under-19 championship. He was able to win the 2018-2019 season with Atlanta.
His first UEFA Champions League call-up was on the 11th of December 2019 as an unused substitute in a 3-0 away win against Shakhtar Donetsk. He made his debut in the league as a 68th-minute substitute in a 1-1 home draw against Midtjylland.
The 22 year old got signed into Manchester United on the 5th of October 2020. He officially joined the club on the 7th of January 2021 for a 5 contract with an option of an extra year.

1. Amad Paid €48,000 For Violating the Italian Sports Justice Code
The Ivorian-born had issues with the Parma prosecutor’s office in 2020. He was found to be guilty of breaking the Italian sports Justice code by joining the football team ASD Boca Barco as Diallo Amad Traore in 2015.
He and his family were accused of illegal immigration and fabricating fake documents. Amad was further accused of impersonation. He alleged to be in partnership with an Ivorian Citizen by the name of Hamed Mamadou Traore who was living in Italy. The documents he fabricated claimed Mamadou is his distant cousin and he was seeking reunification with his relatives. He was fined €48,000 after a plea bargain with the authorities.
