Many were not happy when the Florida-born boxer turned his back after being highly regarded as a prospect for the 2016 US Olympic team. He reportedly pens down a contract with Iron Mike Productions, founded in 2012 by Gary Jones as Acquinity Sports, but a partnership with Mike Tyson in 2013 births its name. The contract was signed on the day he celebrated his 18th birthday (1st October 2013).
According to reports, the development didn’t go down well with USA Boxing, the organization that manages American amateur boxing. They took a swing at Tyson and accused him of poaching a top Olympic hopeful.
