Harper Hempel was born on the 31st of August 1996 in Kentucky, United States of America. Her father is recognized as Richard Hempel, a famous man who has contributed immensely to the growth of sports in the city.
Richard is the co-founder of an online coaching platform known as eCoach. It is open to all those who are interested in playing basketball or improving their skills in the sport. Her mother is named Collen Hempel. Harper has a brother whose name is Connel Hempel and he used to play football while studying at Harvard University. Connel has a romantic link with Olivia Rink whom he planned on spending his life in marriage.
Harper Hempel attended Ryel high school where she started playing volleyball from. While in High school, she was a starter for the school’s volleyball team for 4 years. Hempel was even the team’s captain thrice and she balanced her education and sporting activities well.
Upon graduating from Ryel, she went on to study at the University of Kentucky. While here, Harper also continued her sports driven by her passion and love for volleyball. She played for two years from 2015 to 2017 and became famous in college as a result.

Harper Hempel and Murray Started Dating in College
Ex-lovers, Murray and Hempel met while still in college. In fact, they began to date in 2015 when Harper was still a college sophomore. Their relationship lasted for quite a while despite the sudden change that succeeded their decision to date.
Their relationship however began to face tests as shortly into it, Murray was drafted as the 7th overall pick by the NBA in 2016. He was then signed to the Denver Nuggets team and he had to leave Kentucky.
Jamal had started off playing college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before then.
Hempel however remained in Kentucky and completed her education while also playing volleyball.

What Happened in Harper Hempel’s Relationship with Jamal Murray?
On the 22nd of March 2020, a video was posted on the official Instagram page of Jamal Murray. Though the NBA star later addressed the situation and attributed it to the works of hackers, the damage had been done already.
The video showed the ex-girlfriend of the basketball star giving oral sex to her boyfriend. Jamal however took down the video as soon as he could but it had gone viral already. Additionally, there were already a lot of reposts and comments about it. The couple owned up to the fact that they actually engaged in the act but the upload wasn’t their doing.
The video leakage continued to make rounds and this forced the couple to deactivate their Instagram accounts in spite of their huge following. However, Murray asked his followers on Twitter who were already in possession of the video to delete it from their devices.
Although this happened some years back, it still remains one of the memories people have of the couple. Also, soon after the incident, the couple seemed to take a break from the relationship. Some people believe they are just keeping their relationship private and mostly hope they have not broken up.
The former Wildcat star and his girlfriend unfollowed each other on their social media platforms. Given this new piece of information, it was speculated that they had broken up. To further buttress this point, they stopped uploading photos of each other as well. Jamal was even seen getting intimate with another girl a while later.
Another school of thought claims that it was not the controversy that caused the breakup. This group stated that the strain of distance caused by the Covid 19 pandemic was what tore them apart. They claim that Jamal had to be in isolation with his teammates in Denver during that period while his then-girlfriend was in Kentucky.

Hempel who is a graduate of Digital and Media marketing began her own personal venture. She quit playing volleyball as soon as she left college, however, she tilted towards her studied course.
