Moreover, they started dating in 2007, and after 7 years, they decided to take the vow to spend the rest of their lives together.
In July 2020, his wife took to her Instagram page to mark the 7 years of their marriage anniversary and 13 years of being together. She showered encomiums on him saying he is strong, responsible, gentle, generous, and flexible.
At the time of the wedding, the boxer was barely 23 while his wife was 16. He was born on the 18th of December 1990, while Ekaterina was born on the 1st of October 1997. She is currently 27 years old.

The boxer and his wife are proud parents of 2 handsome boys. A year and 3 months after their wedding, his wife welcomed their first son, Miron Bivol on 30th November 2014. Interestingly, 2 days before he was born, his father made his debut as a professional boxer. He is currently 9 years old.
Three years later, there was an addition to the family. Nikon Bivol was born on 17th February 2017. Coincidentally,5 after his birth, his father defended his interim WBA light-heavyweight title against retired New Zealand boxer Robert Berridge on 23rd February 2017. He is 7 years old.
Bivol revealed in an interview how fatherhood has changed him in and out of the ring. He started valuing and respecting parents immediately after he became a father.

His Parents, Yuriy Bivol and Yelena Bivol Are From Two Distinct Ethnicity
Dmitry Bivol’s parents are from different ethnic lines but share the same country. His father Yuriy Bovil was born in Moldova when it was still part of the defunct Soviet Union. Also, his mother Yelena Bovil was born in Kazakhstan when it was under the USSR. Moreover, his mother has Korean ancestry.
Back in Krygyzstan, his parents were farmers, growing onions, but had to relocate to Russia in 2001. The move was necessitated by poor harvests and the economic hardships they were experiencing at the time. They had to move to seek better opportunities for the family.
His father played a vital role in pushing and encouraging him to become a boxer. According to reports, his father started taking him to a karate gym and later a boxing gym when he was 6. In addition, his parents thought the move to Russia would help in shaping Bivol’s boxing skills.
The boxer revealed in an interview how his trainer advised his father to seek better opportunities in Russia or Kazakhstan for him. He said the trainer told his father that he is talented, having seen how he was beating boys that are 2 or 3 years older than him. It was after this that his father started thinking in that direction.
At the moment, it is unclear whether the boxer is the only child of his parents. However, he didn’t mention once that his parents moved to Russia so they can provide for their children. The word “children” could mean there are others apart from him, but they are not known.
