Ashlyn Harris hails from Florida, in a satellite cocoa beach in the US. She was born on the 19th October, 1985, to parents Mike and Tammye Harris. She was raised with her brother, Chris whom she is very close to. Ashlyn attended the Satellite High school in Florida where she grew up, unlike other female footballers, Ashlyn felt that she would rather play with the boy’s team which was the Plam Bay Rangers instead joining her female folks, thus, she was playing with the boy from a tender age until when she became a teenager. In the 2007 season, Ashlyn still battled with a torn labrum in her right hip, but due to her relentless determination she resorted to using her left leg while putting up with the discomfort and forged ahead, appearing in 19 games while she made 9 starts, playing a total of 1130 minutes with nine goals striking through her net while she saved 29 goals, giving a 0.763% save even though she was playing only in one half of most of the games assisted by Anna.

Ashlyn Harris Professional Soccer Career
Just like most players, Ashlyn made her professional club debut playing in the W-League which most college players partake in during summers. She played for the Pali Blues during the 2009 summer, which she helped the club to win the tournament.
In 2010 Ashlyn was drafted by the Saint Louis Athletica unfortunate the team folded up in May 2010 and she could not feature in any game for that club.

She eventually took the decision to go back to the Washington Spirits for the 2014 season, and on January 3, 2014, joined the Washington starting in all the 19 games of the Spirits allowing 30 goals in 1710 minutes.
During a match against the Chicago Red Stars on August 2, Ashlyn again suffered a concussion thus, she occupied the bench in two but she manage to feature in the semifinal game against the Seattle Reign on August 25 where the Spirit suffered a 2–1 defeat which took them out of them playoffs.
