1. Vanja Bosnić’s birth came with a lot of complications for her mother
Vanja’s mother, Vesna did not find it easy when she fell pregnant with her daughter. During the pregnancy, she had a number of complications and she was hospitalized for almost three months. She later successfully gave birth to Bosnić on July 18 1982 in Varaždin. Vanja was raised in Kutina but her family later moved to Zagreb when she was 11 years. Her father Milan Bosnić was a basketball player and at the same time, he ran a restaurant. Her mother, Vesna Juraic studied Economics.
Vanja attended the University of Zagreb where she also studied Economics.
2. Her parents divorced while she was still young
At the age of 11, Vanja’s parents got separated and she had to live with it. She lost touch with her father completely and it reportedly affected her life. At that time, her mother was working as a teacher in a local high school.
By the time she was 12, she had to work hard to help her mother so she learned how to cook, and do other house chores. Things happened so fast that they took a toll on Luka’s wife.

His whole family was forced to leave the area due to the escalation of the war. His grandfather, however, did not make it after their house got burnt. Luka’s family subsequently became a refugee and his family stayed in the Hotel Kolovare for seven years.

While she was working at the Mamic sports agency in 2007, Vanja met Luka who was at that time a midfielder at Dinamo Zagreb. She was in charge of dealing with the matters of players under the care of the Agency since 2005.
When the couple first met, Luka was just 19 years and she was around 22. The two connected almost immediately and they started dating.
After three years of a romantic relationship, they tied the knots in May 2010.

Barely three weeks after she married the footballer, she gave birth to a baby boy. The new family welcomed their son, Ivano Modric on June 6, 2010.
On April 24, 2013, the couple announced the birth of their daughter, Ema Modric, and on October 2, 2017, their second daughter Sofia Modric was born.
Her children are often seen cheering their father, especially during important matches and other important events.

Based on a report by ESPN, Luka Modric was arrested in 2015 for embezzlement and tax evasion. He was even convicted alongside three other people. He was given a jail sentence of six and a half years.
Before the verdict, he reportedly fled to Bosnia-Herzegovina. He was linked to one of the most controversial persons in Croatian football, Zdravko Mamic who was also accused of taking over £17.5 million from Dinamo Zagreb while he was the president of the club. There were speculations that the midfielder received a chunk of money himself.
Luka allegedly received a huge sum of cash when he left Dinamo for Tottenham in 2008 and as part of his agreement with Mamic, he give him part of it.
