Dawn Davenport is an award winning television sports reporter and anchor, writer, trail blazing female radio sports On Air Personality (OAP), former athlete, and Philanthropist. Dawn is very popular not only in Nashville, Tennessee but also amongst sports lovers in the United States of America.

Nashville’s first full-time female sports radio personality on 104.5 The Zone, she currently works with ESPN as a sideline reporter. Over the years, she has come to be respected for her career, although there is still much to admire in her personal life.

Dawn Davenport was born in the city of Plano, Texas in the United States of America on February 25, 1980. She is currently 40 years old.

Though Dawn has not shared much information about her father, she has however mentioned that her mother worked with Delta Airlines, and this afforded her and her family, the opportunity to travel a lot and explore lots of places.

She is believed to have a brother, who they both played sports when she was a child, but she has disclosed no further information about her brother or any other siblings that she may have. Though Dawn was born in Plano, Texas, she spent most of her early years growing up in Atlanta in the United State.

After Dawn completed her high school studies, she got admission into Auburn University in Alabama, USA, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications – Radio, Television, Film. While Dawn was at Auburn, she was actively participating in lots of sporting activities, but her favorite was always volleyball. She was also a 2-time SEC Academic All American member of their volleyball team; And she was a 3-year letter winner also.

Dawn began her professional career in journalism sometime in 2003, when she joined WWAY-ABC News Channel 3 as a reporter and sports anchor. 2 years later, she started working with WRIC- ABC in Richmond, Virginia as a sports anchor and reporter; here she was part of a team that won the “Best Year-Round Sports Coverage” award twice. 3 years later, she joined WRKN maintaining her job title. She was with this media station for about 7 years.

In 2013, she joined the very popular sports channel, ESPN, as a collegiate football reporter and was co-anchor with Matt Stinchcomb and Clay Matvick.

She was also the very first woman to become a full time female sports On Air Personality (OAP) in Nashville, Tennessee, when she worked with 104.5 FM, The Zone.

In the early 2010s, Dawn got married to a gentleman called Johan Kok, who worked then with the Temple Hills Country Club. He was then the Assistant General Manager of the organization, and also a budding golfer.

Dawn and Johan got divorced in the middle 2010s, no exact details were shared by both parties on this subject – in fac,t Dawn never mentioned being married to Johan. There is no official confirmation from either Dawn or Johan about their having kids from the marriage.

In 2019, Dawn was reported to have gotten married to another gentle man called Travis Harter. The two were said two have dated for a number of years before they tied the knot. They were engaged in July 2019 and then in August of the same year, they got married in  in Pensacola Beach, Florida.

On June 11, 2020, she gave birth to her child, Hadley Babette Harter, through CS after 36 hours of labor.
