She grew up alongside her older siblings who played tennis in the past. Her older sister Sarah is a former professional tennis player who played collegiately for Vanderbilt University before turning pro and is now married to Todd McGlamery. While her older brother Dan only played college tennis for West Liberty State and is currently an accountant.
Riske fell in love with tennis at a tender age after her father introduce her to the game when he was 3 years old. The two will always play together in the backyard of her family’s home, in the living room, and even in the driveway. Moreover, she actually became more interested in it at the age of 7 and began to train with her first coach, Janice Irwin.
She had her high school education virtually at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, but she played for Peters Township High School tennis team in the 2006 fall season, helping them to the Championship title, in addition to winning the singles title. Over the course of two years, she won the USTA National Collegiate Clay Court Championships and won the USTA Girls’ 18 National Championship Sportsmanship Award, thus earning the top spot in the Girls’ 18s category.

Outside this, Stephen Amritraj was born on March 28, 1984, in Calabasas, California, and is of Indian heritage. He is the son of a former Indian tennis player and entrepreneur Anand Amritraj.
