Anthony Joshua’s mother, Yeta Odusanya is 60 years old and was born sometime in 1965. Even though she has spent several years in London, Yeta is originally from Nigeria and hails from Sagamu, Ogun State.
While not so much about her family background is known, we garnered that she’s from a very large family. Records assert that she grew up in poverty and in search of a better life, moved to the U.K.
She managed to complete her elementary and secondary school education in Nigeria and following her stay in London, she enrolled at the London South Bank University where she obtained a degree in social work.

Following Yeta Odusanya’s graduation from the university, she juggled several jobs before settling for a career as a social worker and continued for several years before she retired.
While her career at the moment isn’t known, one would easily see that Yeta lives a comfortable life thanks to her son AJ who attributes his success to her love and constant support.
The mother of four lives in an ex-council home in North London which is worth about 175,000 euros and also owns a range rover.
It is no doubt that her son has amassed so much wealth throughout his boxing career and is currently one of the highest paid in the sport with a net worth estimated at 120 million euros.
Yeta Was Previously Married to Robert Joshua for Several Years
Anthony Joshua’s mother, Yeta Odusanya was previously married to Robert Joshua. While there is no information about how the former couple crossed paths, we garnered that they met for the first time in the UK.
Robert, also of Nigerian descent soon became friends with Yeta and later resolved to a relationship that saw them get married sometime in the 80s. They were together for several years but unfortunately, divorced. At the time, their son Anthony Joshua was only 12 years old.
Consequently, Yeta was left with the sole responsibility of raising her kids. It was also at this point she went back to using her maiden name “Odusanya”. The boxer has often praised his mother for going out of her way for him and his siblings.
While Anthony’s parents never disclosed the cause of their divorce, they managed to maintain a great relationship and consistently support their son’s career. In fact, AJ once revealed that his fighting prowess comes from his father who has always stood up for him.
Yeta’s husband, Robert Joshua is of Nigerian and Irish descent. He previously worked as a warehouse operative however, his present job isn’t known.
As for his marital life, information from reliable sources confirmed that he has long remarried and has 7 children with his second wife.

Anthony Joshua is Not the only Child of Yeta Odusanya
Even though Anthony Joshua is the most famous of Yeta Odusanya’s children, he is not the only child. The former social worker and her husband Robert Joshua birthed four children while they were married. Asides from Anthony, her other children include Jacob Joshua, Loretta Joshua, and Janet Joshua.
Unlike Anthony, Yeta’s second and third children uphold very private lifestyles and not so much is known about them. Nonetheless, the siblings support AJ’s career and have shown up for most of his fights.
Interestingly, the youngest child of the family Janet is in the spotlight as an evangelist, hair stylist, and beautician. She was previously married to Wissam Al Mana and their marriage saw the birth of their son Eissa.
