Jeff Fisher and his ex-wife legally became a couple in 1986 after the football player retired from the NFL. From being a collegiate star player, he was drafted into the NFL in 1981 and began playing for the Chicago Bears.

She was with him while he worked as a defensive assistant, coordinator, and assistant head coach with the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Houston Oilers. In 2013, a Facebook user posted that the couple attended one of their weddings that year. The user claimed that they were a delightful couple but this was 5 years after their divorce.
