Laura Woods has established that she will be exiting the talkSPORT Sports Breakfast show at the end of June 2023. This is coming months after rumors suggested she might be replacing Jake Humphery on the relaunched TNT Sport’s Champions League coverage (Previously TNT Sports).
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old presenter became the main anchor for talkSPORT’s breakfast show in March 2020. She came in as a replacement for the show’s previous host, Alan Brazil.

The newly-launched TNT Sport’s Champions League is on the lookout for a new anchor after Jake Humphrey announced his departure. Many people have speculated that Laura who is set to leave talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show is in talks with the station’s bosses and may be replacing long-serving presenter, Jake Humphrey.
On announcing that she will be leaving the talkSPORT Sports Breakfast show, Liam Fisher paid tribute to the popular radio host and acknowledged her place as one of the brightest stars of sports media. According to him, her warmth, knowledge, and love of sport have shone through and made her always connect with our 3.6 million weekly listeners.

A Quick Look at Laura Woods’ Career Profile
Laura studied print journalism at Kingston University. After graduating from university, she got a job at Sky Sports as a runner in 2009, working her way up to editorial assistant, then into production as assistant producer, associate, and producer.
She began her career as a presenter by conducting behind-the-scenes interviews for Sky Sports’ YouTube channel.
Later, she was hired by the Saturday morning children’s program Game Changers. After joining the Soccer AM online presenting team, she began covering the NFL and went to the Euro 2016 in France, where she regularly presented live on Facebook. By 2018, Woods had established herself as a Super Sunday pitch-side reporter, occasionally working with Gary Neville. She departed Sky Sports in 2022.
Throughout her career, the sportscaster also worked for outfits like DAZN and ITV. Woods travelled with ITV to Qatar as one of the hosts of their World Cup coverage, and most recently featured for the broadcaster in their coverage of the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City.
In March 2020, Woods was announced as the main presenter for talkSPORT’s breakfast show. She has hosted the broadcaster’s flagship show for three years and has won multiple awards for her coverage, including Best Speech Breakfast Show at the ARIAS in 2021. Laura’s competence extends beyond football. Over the course of her career, she has broadcast darts and rugby, among other sports.
Away from her professional life, Laura has dated former England Rugby player Alex Corbisiero for eight years. More so, Anotony Joshua once referred to her as his dream date.
