There are no exact details on the birth date of Katy Kellner but it is believed she was born sometime in the year 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia where she also spent her childhood. She has however revealed that she is an aunt to a boy and a girl.
Kellner went to Elmhurst College located in the state of Illinois and from there, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education in 2003. But that was not the final stop in her educational pursuits In 2008 after graduating from Elmhurst she went ahead to bag a master’s degree from the Alabama based university, Troy University. Her Masters was in Instructional Technology.
Before Kellner decided to become a fitness instructor she put her degree to use by teaching in a public school located in her birthplace, Atlanta. This school, Fulton County Public school was where she dedicated ten years of her life educating and training young people.
Before she quit being an educator, Katy Kellner had already started visiting the gym and trying to keep fit and by the time she hung up her teaching boots, she was already pretty good at exercising and bodybuilding. Her next job was working as a fitness instructor and director at the California branch of the nationwide gym, Flywheel Sports. She currently leads their spinning and cycling classes in the California branch of the gym located in Thousand Oaks.
Relationship with Shannon Sharpe
Katy Kellner did not get as famous as she is today solely for the work she does in fitness, her relationship with the former NFL player, Shannon Sharpe is the bigger reason she is famous. Sharpe used to play for Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens in the position of tight end. He played with the former for nine years between 1990 and 1999 and then played with the later for a year before retiring from the game in 2003 after going back to his first team and spending a year with them. He currently works as a TV presenter on the sports-oriented talk show, Skip and Shannon: Undisputed.
Sharpe and Kellner met sometime in 2013 when they were both working out at the Thousand Oaks gym. At first, their relationship existed on their common love for exercising but then it blossomed into something romantic. Shortly after, they started to date and by 2016, they were engaged. Kellner announced the engagement on Twitter by making a quirky tweet that included the first number her fiancé played with during his NFL career.
The couple managed to keep their relationship away from the eyes of the public but in a short while, it came to light they had split up. The first hint of their breakup was when Katy Kellner put up a picture of her baby bump but it turned out the child was not for Sharpe, but for a man called Marlon Byrd. Byrd is the man she runs the gym with and their child was born in December of 2018, the two of them are still together till date.
Neither Sharpe nor Kellner have revealed the reason for their split.
