A Hawaiian native, Kona Reeves is a professional wrestler who became famous for his stint in WWE’s NXT. Since making his debut in the ring in 2013, he has fought in different promotions including World Xtreme Wrestling.

As already stated, Reeves is an American professional wrestler. Although it is as Kona Reeves that he has come to be known, it was as Noah Pang Potjes that he was born on the 5th of June, 1992. Thus far, Reeves’s parental identity and siblings remain unknown to the public.
The only hint he gave about his parents is that his mother is of Hawaiian, Chinese, Filipino, and Spanish descent while his father is of Dutch and Indonesian descent. His complete educational background is also not available for public consumption yet.
Back in 2013 when he was only 21, Noah Pang Potjes began his professional career and was part of the World Xtreme Wrestling. He chose the ring name Noah Kekoa. He was trained by the WWE Hall of Famer, a retired professional wrestler and wrestling manager Afa Anoa’i in the Wild Samoan Professional Wrestling Training Center. Kona has also been in the WWE Developmental Center.
His path with the Hall of Famer is rather interesting. After Reeves completed his high school education, he was confused as he didn’t know how to go about with his dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. It was at this time that he met Pops as Afa Anoa’i is called. The next problem was that he had no fund to support his training, but Pops took him in as a family and then gave him a scholarship.
Two years later, he would be down again, and this time around, he moved to California where he worked at McDonald’s and bounced at nightclubs. He was also trying to get himself back to school at the same time. All these and the fact that he was out of shape made him sad.
It was this sadness that forced him back to Orlando. fortunately, Pops accepted him back and gave him another opportunity of getting himself back to doing what he has always dreamed of professionally. In 2014, he finally got signed to WWE.
In an exclusive interview with Byron Saxon for WWE.Com when asked why the recent change in his mindset after several years of joining NXT and what the difference between the former Kona and the recent Kona is, he replied thus that the difference was that he had stopped caring about what people thought of him and had stopped being “Mr. Aloha,” aka “Mr. Nice Guy.”
