The Leicester-born wrestler came into the world on October 16, 1998. She grew up in a well-to-do family and lived a somewhat privileged life thanks to the celebrity status of her parents. Xia Brookside became interested in wrestling from an early age and would often spend her childhood years watching clips of professional fighters displaying their skills and dreaming of becoming one of them someday.

When most of her mates were simply trying to make it through high school in one piece, Xia began training to be a wrestler with the help of her father, Robbie Brookside, and two other professional trainers named Dean Allmark and Robbie Dynamite. At the age of 17, in the year 2015, Xia made her debut professional in-ring Wrestling appearance in a tag team match that saw she and El Ligero go up against Sammy D and Kay Lee Ray for All-Star Wrestling. They won the match and Xia received a lot of praise for her performance.

Her first loss came during a three-way women’s championship match under Insane Championship Wrestling in February 2016. Three months later, Xia got back on her winning horse by scoring a victory over Toni Storm in a match organized by Empress Pro Wrestling. Later that same year, Xia put in a debut losing appearance for Revolution Pro Wrestling. In 2017, she took her skills to Japan to work for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion, where she quickly became a beloved sensation. She remained there until 2018 when she signed with WWE’s NXT brand. Brookside participated in the second edition of the WWE Mae Young Classic,  but her dreams of winning the tournament were dashed when she was given the boot by lo Shirai.
