Bea Priestley was born in Harrogate, a town in North Yorkshire, England on 22 March 1996. It is noteworthy that her real name is actually Beatrice St Clere Priestley as she has only chosen to answer Bea as her ring name.
Growing up, Priestley never imagined she would go into wrestling as she barely knew anything about the sport. However, one day, she stumbled WWE Raw on TV and totally fell in love with what she saw there. She started watching wrestling more frequently and finally made up her mind she was going to be a wrestler. At this time, she was not even a teenager yet.
When her parents found out about her wrestling aspirations, they were immediately against it, asking her to choose any other thing to do with her life. However, wrestling was all that Priestley wanted to do.
Eventually, she managed to convince her mother to let her follow her heart. So, when she was about 13 years old, she began training at New Zealand Wide Pro Wrestling’s developmental facility under Travis Banks. Shortly after this, at the age of 14. she made her debut for the company.
Bea Priestley’s Exploits In Wrestling
Bea Priestley spent about four years with New Zealand Wide Pro Wrestling before she moved to London in order to further her career. She went on to make her debut for Progress Wrestling on 13 March 2016. Even though she got beaten in her first match, it was clear that fans loved her and she had prospects.
In the years 2017 and 2018, Bea Priestley honed her skills at fighting and mainly competed in six-man tag team matches and even feuding with another English wrestler, Millie McKenzie.
Bea Priestley made her debut for What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) in July 2016 and caused a stir with a highly discussed feud with Welsh wrestler, Nixon Newell. Eventually, she beat Millie McKenzie to win the Defiant Women’s Championship on 17 June 2018 before eventually losing it to Kanji.
World Wonder Ring Stardom
Bea Priestley is currently signed to World Wonder Ring Stardom (WWRS). She joined the WWRS in 2017 and made her debut on 14 October that year by entering the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League tournament. She went on to stun fans and won the tournament along with Kelly Klein.
Bea Priestley continued her prowess, emerging the winner of the Goddess of Stardom Championship with Jamie Hayter in January 2020. The duo, by so doing, became the very first foreign tag team to accomplish this feat.
She is also known for appearing in World of Sport where she won the WOS Women’s Championship in January 2019 before losing it to Viper. She has also made appearances on All Elite Wrestling.
She Was Diagnosed With Brain Tumour
When she was about 14 years old, Bea Priestley was diagnosed with a brain tumor and this threatened to ruin her dreams of becoming a world-famous wrestler. However, she held on to her dreams and kept training on with professional wrestling trainers.
Eventually, when she was about 18 years old, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor.
