Kryss DeSandre is a certified personal trainer, online personality, and a budding entrepreneur who has remained resilient, thus far, in her career. Kryss was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on the 30th of June 1995. She admits that growing up in a small town pushed her to do sports as it was either that or get into trouble. She participated in cheerleading, basketball, and track while in high school.
Kryss isn’t the type to shy away from her modest upbringing. She has unashamedly revealed that things were a little rough while she was growing up. She was raised alongside her 4 siblings by their single mother who battled with drug addiction. They moved around a lot, lived with various friends and family members and it was a struggle to keep food on the table. Kryss’s story has changed now and she is definitely happy about how far she has come.
A bodybuilder and model, Kryss took her work out to the gym in January 2015. This was where Jonah Bolton approached her about competing. He ended up training her and she won her first bikini show in the same year. She came 1st and Overall Winner in the 2015 NPC Utah, Figure contest.

1. She had a difficult childhood
As already stated, Kryss DeSandre did not have what can be described as an easy childhood. She had to live with different families before she was finally settled, and kept changing schools due to the instability of her childhood. Having food to eat was also a problem for her family at a point, since she only had her mother who was battling drug addiction.
2. Is she married?
Kryss is a very beautiful young lady. She has a stunning and fit physique plus a beautiful face but she is unfortunately taken. She has been with Matt who she describes as her best friend and partner in all things since they were 15. The duo married early and appears to be ‘living their dream life’ together.
3. Does she have kids?
As at the time of writing this article, Kryss and her husband don’t have any kids yet. Although they are parents to two adorable rescued cats (Leo and Dexter).
4. She was once overweight
Checking out the body of Kryss today, it might be hard to imagine but this amazing bodybuilder was once overweight. She let herself go for a while and began to eat unhealthy and slack with her physical activities. After a while, she became unhappy with her appearance and decided to turn things around.
5. She is self-taught
Kryss got her groove back by working out at home using some YouTube videos. She also began to make home-cooked nutritious meals every day for herself and her husband. After about 3 months of healthy eating and working out at home, she began to see changes and got her abs back at 6 months.

While her life revolves around bodybuilding, Kryss loves Disney movies as well as playing adventure video games.
7. Her Certification
In June 2020, Kryss DeSandre got her National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification as a personal trainer. She is also working on additional certifications to specialize in Women’s Fitness and Fitness Nutrition.

During her preparation for the 2015 NPC Utah show, she began sharing pictures and videos of her fitness journey on social media. Her incredible physique and transformation story quickly inspired several people all around the world. By 2016, she had amassed huge followership across her social media pages. As of July 2020, she has 461K followers on Instagram, over 32 thousand likes on her Facebook page, and close to 1,500 followers on twitter.

9. Diet and Nutrition
Asides her workout routine, one of Kryss’s major way of keeping healthy is eating nutritious home-cooked meals. Whenever she has cravings, she substitutes them with healthy homemade alternatives. She doesn’t stick to a specific diet plan but eats a variety of meals watching her calories and eating clean. She also aims at eating 5 meals per day to keep her metabolism high. Whenever she trains hard or has made progress on her figure, she allows herself a cheat meal once a week.
Kryss takes supplements like Vitamin C, Fish Oil, Biotin and Folic Acid, Glutamine, BCAAs, and Whey Protein.
10. Workout Routine
Kryss DeSandre works out for 6 days a week and rests on Mondays. She works one muscle group per gym session, besides when she trains her chest and shoulders.

- Tuesday- Legs, focusing on Glutes and hamstrings.
- Wednesday- Biceps & Triceps, then HIIT cardio after.
- Thursday- Chest & Shoulders, with sprints afterward
