Chase Koepka was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA on January 30, 1994, to Bob Koepka and Denise Jakows. His mom once had a career as a TV news anchor in Florida, which was the reason why she did not drop her maiden name. Unfortunately, the marriage between his parents came to an end in divorce when Chase was only an infant.
As a result of the divorce between his parents, the 30 year old and his brother were brought up by their mother who was very supportive of their career, with Brooks who is the older of the two growing up to be one of the best golfers in the world.
Chase attended Cardinal Newman High school in West Palm Beach where he played for four years under Toby Hill. He also attended the University of South Florida from 2012 to 2016. He graduated with a degree in marking in spring 2016. He won up to four tournaments during his college career.
It seems athleticism runs in Koepka’s family lineage, his great uncle, Dick Groat is a major league baseball player. More so, his father was also an athlete, although he did not go professional. Bob played basketball and baseball at Bridgeport High School before going on to lead West Virginia Wesleyan College in strikeouts and innings pitched in 1981.

Koepka arrived in Europe in early 2016 but did not play until 2017 and after his remarkable performance on the Challenge Tour, he earned a European tour card after he finished among the top 15 in the Road to Oman Rankings. He played on the tour again the following year and did much better.
He finished in the top-10 up to five times. He was the runner-up in the Italian challenge. And the Kazakhstan Open and he finished 9th in the Order of Merit which earned him a place on the European Tour for 2018.
In 2013/2014, Koepka became the first golfer in USF history to average shooting less than par all season. He had an average of 70.9 per round and won two tournaments while shooting par or better on a school-record 21 rounds. He recorded 109 birdies which took him to 10th place on USF’s career birdies list.
In 2018, Koepka finished 7th place in the BMW SA Open but he could not finish in the top 20 of any European Tour event. He finished 182nd in the Order of Merit. In 2019, he played on the Challenge Tour but made the cut three times in 12 events and also made an attempt to qualify for the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour.
Koepka spent almost three years on the European and Challenge tours before he left Europe for the United States. He returned to South Florida where he spends most of his time. He is best known for winning the title of the ‘2016 Mission Inn Spring Spectacular’.
