This is not the first time that the former British cum American former professional kickboxer has had legal issues. He had been accused of crimes such as strangulation, and Rape. While he was not have been earlier charged for these alleged crimes, he was arrested and detained in December 2022 and was placed on house arrest in April 2023.
What to Know About the Allegations Against Andrew Tate
In December 2022, the former British Big Brother contestant was arrested in Romania. Also, his brother Tristan and two other Romanian women were arrested over an alleged crime of human trafficking. They were held in custody but were later put under house arrest in April 2023.
Andrew as well as his alleged accomplices denied allegations of the crime but at the time of this writing, about 7 women have claimed to be victims and may be testifying in court.
Now, the accusation against them goes deeper when there are reports that Tate and his three accomplices would lure their victims with the promises of relationships. Instead, they would force them into making pornographic material.
In a leaked court document, a victim alleged to be forced to earn at least €10,000 (£9,000) a month on social media platforms. Then, the victim claimed that the accused threatened to release intimate videos and photos if she tried to quit.
On June 13, 2023, prosecutors changed the filing to human trafficking in continued form. This is a more serious offense under Romanian law. At the time, prosecutors shared their intention on bringing the case to trial by the end of June of the same year.
At the time of their earliest arrest, authorities seized numerous belongings of the accused. Some of these include 15 cars, over 10 properties, and other belongings worth $4 million.

He Earlier Had Been Accused of Other Crimes
Before the 2022 arrest and before Tate’s moving to Romania, he allegedly committed several crimes (against women) between 2013 to 2016.
According to an Independent report, about 4 different women had come out to speak up about their encounters with the influencer. These women were between the ages of 20 to their 30s. Their stories focus on Tate having s** with them but would choke and strangling them in the process.
One of the women who testified claimed that everything was normal between her and Andrew Tate and they even became intimate. While in bed and in their intimacy, he started to strangle her until she lost consciousness. Then, she woke up and still saw him being intimate with her.
Rather than feeling sorry, she claimed that he talked about owning her amidst other derogatory comments.
In 2015, he was reported to the police for the first time and he was arrested. However, prosecutors abandoned the case, claiming that it didn’t meet their legal test.
This is not all, he has been banned from different social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. YouTube also suspended his channel. The actions were taken for alleged inciting of violence, content that attacked, and threats against individuals or groups.
