Anthony Yarde is a 33-year-old British professional boxer. The light heavyweight fighter started his career much later than most, yet, he was able to win more than 20 career fights and more than two titles in the WBC, IBF, and WBO categories. Unsurprisingly, the 5 foot 11 inches tall combat sports fighter has garnered an estimated net worth of more than $4 million in a career of almost a decade.
Also known as The Beast from the East, Yarde like many people has a family that he manages to keep away from the public attention. However, he gave snippets about some members of his family in 2019, when he suffered the tragedy of losing his father and grandparents to Covid 19.
He was Born and Raised in Hackney
Anthony Yarde was born on August 13, 1991, in East London specifically in Hackney. Based on his year of birth, we can conclude that he is currently 33-year-old. According to him, he and his siblings were mostly raised in love by his mother. Despite this, he witnessed youthful violence in his neighborhood and this impacted his life.
Apart from this, Yarde showed an interest in sports and was passionate about football and boxing. With regards to boxing, Anthony was inspired after watching Mike Tyson.
Unsurprisingly, he drew attention to himself as a sports lover during his education at Maryland Primary School and Forest Gate Community School. Reportedly, he was handpicked by Newham Academy, a sports school run by Olympic gold medalist, Tessa Sanderson. Things seemed to be moving well for him as a rising football player and he went as far as trying out for the QPR but sustained an injury.
His Mother Enrolled him In a Boxing Club at the Age of 14
While still attending school and trying to make a name for himself in football, Anthony’s mum is said to have enrolled him at a Boxing club in Leyton run by Fimber Harper. Harper was a family friend to the Yarde’s and he paid attention to Anthony’s improvements. After 6 months, Harper made it clear that Anthony was ready to step into the ring. At this point, Anthony’s mother expressed fear about allowing her son to step into the ring but Harper disregarded this concern and decided to organize a fight between Anthony and an older child.
Though one would expect his story to continue without hitches, this was not the case as Anthony’s mother prevented her son from going to the club after she learned of the upcoming fight.
Despite the initial setback he experienced in honing his skills as a sportsman, he returned to boxing at the age of 18. As an amateur, he was trained by Tony Cesay during which he fought 12 fights.
He Made his Professional Debut in 2015
The British fighter launched his professional career in May 2015, a few months before his 23rd birthday under coach Tunde Ajayi and Ade Olayinka. Notably, he won his debut match against Mitch Mitchell via KO. Following this, The Beast from the East set a winning streak that ran in 18 matches.
Sadly, this streak was broken by Sergey Kovalev in 2019. Regardless of this, he has faced off with other opponents.
Yarde’s Net Worth is Estimated at Over $4 Million
The combat sports fighter has an estimated net worth of over $4 million which he made from his boxing career. While followers of his career may expect the amount to be higher, his biggest purse prize gives credence to this amount. Some of his highest earnings are;

Who are Anthony Yarde’s Parents?
As mentioned earlier, Anthony was mostly raised by his mother whose identity is not known. Like his mother, the boxer has managed to keep the identity of his father and other family members away from the public. Nonetheless, we gathered that his mother is one of the regulars at his fights. Considering her earlier reservation about her son entering the ring when he was a teenager, coming to support him at his fight is an indication that Anthony’s mother has come full circle.
In fact, her son has turned out to be the one looking out for his mother. In 2017, Yarde’s fight with Richard Biryani was interrupted by a brawl between their supporters. Instead of continuing with the fight, Yarde was more concerned with protecting his mum, sister, and niece who were in the crowd. Reportedly, he pleaded with friends to help him look out for them.
The British Boxer Suffered Family Tragedies in 2019
More on his family members, Anthony has suffered the loss of his father, grandparents, and other family members. According to reports, they all died within six months as a result of Covid 19.
Though it was a painful experience and boxing is not a sport in which one can put emotion, Yarde continued to fight.
Yarde is Not Married and Doesn’t Seem to Have Children
According to our findings, Yarde is not married neither are there any indications that he is dating anyone. The light heavyweight fighter is known for keeping his private life quiet while focusing on his career. As such, keeping track of his love life has been very difficult.
