The ESPN reporter was born Antonietta Gonzalez Collins in Mexico City, on 22 November 1985 to Maria Antonieta Collins who also brought her up. Her mother is a journalist and writer with about 7 best-sellers to her name.
Antonietta Collins divorced immediately after the whole family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. Her mother remarried in 1995.
Her mother later got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo in 1995. Unfortunately, Fajardo who was her stepfather didn’t last long as they lost him to kidney cancer in 2006.
She grew up in Mexico City where she rounded up her high school program. Since she was a child, Antonietta has been in love with sports. So, it wasn’t surprising that she became an athlete.
She relocated to the US, when the University of Mount Union, Ohio offered her admission. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in sports management.
