1. Her Early Life and Background
She was born BreAnne Maak on July 2, 1983. Her parents Maak Wener and Jane Marie Maak trained her alongside her sister, Balie Maak McKenzie.
BreAnne grew up in Michigan where she attended Marcellus High school in Michigan from where she graduated in 2002. From there, she proceeded to Central Michigan University where she got a degree in Physical Therapy.
2. How She Met and Married Matt LaFleur
Breanne met Matt at Central Michigan University in 2004 when they were still students. While she was studying physical therapy as mentioned before, Matt was studying physical education.
On the day they met, it was an eventful encounter because he made a horrible impression on her. She maintained that he yelled at her during a drill while Matt claims he doesn’t remember the incident. Following this incident, it is not clear when they started dating.
Needless to say, they later realized that they were both in love with each other and became friends. BreAnna and Matt moved their relationship when they married sometime in the mid-2000s.

Breanne has two children with her husband there is Luke who is six years old and Ty who is four years old. Her husband is very close and fond of his children, he takes them along to all his games if he could and they also attend some of his press conferences.
His youngest son Ty began to cry when he saw his father get emotional talking about his family at one of his press conferences.
4. Matt Fleur’s Wife Sacrificed her Job for her Family
Breanne LaFleur used to work for a pharmaceutical company in Ohio in 2007. However she made the hard decision of choosing her family over her career after her husband, Matt was offered a coaching job at Northern Michigan.
She then quit her job to be beside him in other to help him realize his dreams in the sports world.
Due to the nature of her husband’s work, BreAnne and her family have moved a lot across the country. Some of the places they moved from include Houston, Texas, Ashland, Marquette, and Michigan.
While the sporting industry is known for such challenges, her sacrifice is notable.
Having mentioned her sacrifice to her family, it is not surprising that her husband became teary during his first press conference as the head coach of the Packers back. He revealed that his wife is the rock of the family and that he is ‘…all in for the family.
His son who also realized the nature of his father’s career also cried when he saw how teary his father was.
5. She Married into a Sport Family
BreAnne’s marriage to Matt is not her only connection to the sporting world. Her husband’s parents and brother are all into sports.
His father, Denny was a linebacker for Central Michigan and his mother Kristi was a cheerleader back in the day. The two later worked as physical education teachers and coaches at Mount Pleasant High School from the 90s to the 2000s till their retirement in 2015.
Interestingly, her husband’s coaching ability is not peculiar to only him as his grandfather, Bob Barringer was also a football coach for nine years at Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan in the 1960s and 1970s.
At Bob’s death in 2010, he was described as an intense coach who always pushed his players in other to make them through.
Also, her husband’s younger brother, Mike LaFleur is a coach in the NFL making them one of the few siblings who coach in the league. Mike is an offensive coordinator with the New York Jets, a position he has been occupying since 2021.
The siblings faced off against each other’s team in the Packers vs Jets age in October 2022. While the match was a highly anticipated one, both brothers have remained close as it was just another professional event.
BreAnne and her husband adore and respect Denny and Kristi. her husband says he drew his inspiration and love from watching his parents mentor and coach children in high school where they used to work by telling them how much they believed in them and how much they want them to succeed and he watched them change those children’s lives for the better.
6. Her Husband is One of The Youngest Coaches To Ever Lead the Packers
At the time BreAnne’s husband was offered the position of the head coach by the Packers he was only 39 years. The offer also saw him topple the record of the youngest coach in the team since Curly Lambeau.
Notably, members of his family considered the manner in which he got the job a miracle.
Despite his position in the Packers, he is not the youngest NFL coach. That position is held by Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams who was hired in 2017 at the age of 30.
