Corinna was given birth to on 4th January 1958 at Racine, Wisconsin USA. The woman had always been active from a tender age. In fact, according to reports, since she was very little, she took interest in sporting activities such as gymnastics, badminton, and other track events.
She went to high school in Deerfield, Illinois, where she harnessed her skills in sports, breaking existing records and setting the pace for new ones in her high school days. Corinna ended up becoming the first ever multiple sports champion in her school.
Later Corinna got accepted into the University of Wisconsin Madison where she majored in Physical Education. While at college, Corinna became a jack of all sports mastering in all; she took part in gymnastics, badminton, track, and field event. She continued at her high pace of winning as she took part in the American Pentathlon trice and claimed the title in all of the competitions.
Corinna Everson Professional Bodybuilding Career
Corinna Everson started her bodybuilding and fitness career when she came into contact with a friend who was also into bodybuilding and she was then inspired to engage in weightlifting exercises. Sometime later, she and her friend Jeff Everson who would later become her husband, worked hands in gloves at the Ernie Gym in Madison where they duo trained vigorously together. She eventually experimented with her potentials when she was featured in Ms. Mid America in 1980.
The green light of triumph that she got in that competition boosted her morale, to join the 1981 IFBB North American Bodybuilding competition. Unfortunately, she suffered an injury on her left foot which kept her out of the competition for some time, but that did not deter her as she was bent on achieving her dreams as the best bodybuilder, thus, hardly had she recovered completely than she went back into rigorous training again. Corinna bounced back into the competitions like a roaring lion, she remained determined until she claimed 8 titles and trophies for herself within a span of three years.
Upon winning the NPC in 1984, she was then qualified to compete in the Ms. Olympia for that year, and she eventually won the title and was named as the world best bikini athlete. This was just the tip of the iceberg as she subdued every other female bodybuilder topping every competition within a spree of the next five years.
Her dominance translated her name into the history books as the most outstanding female athlete of all time. Corinna was then honoured In January 1999 into the IFBB Hall of Fame, being the maiden member alongside being named among the Muscle Beach Venice Body Building Hall of Fame in 2005.
Corinna also feathered her nest with the Lifetime Achievement Award given to her by the Arnold Classic in 2007, while in 2008 she was inaugurated into the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
From the outset, Corinna proved that she was versatile, laying her hands on different professions. She became a movie star also as she delved into acting when she retired from her bodybuilding career in 1989. She made her movie debut in the movie titled Double Impact in 1991.
Corinna also featured in other movies notable among them are; Natural Born Killers in 1994 and Ballistic in 1995. She also earned a role in Hercules, and a host of other appearances. She is also the brain behind the popular fitness program Body-Shaping.

Corinna is now in her 60s and has been married twice, first to her co-trainer, Jeff Everson whom she divorced in 1996 and currently, she is married to Steve Donia with whom she tied the knot back then in 1998. With Steve, they lived happily adopting two children, however, Corinna still bears the name of her estranged husband Everson whom she became popularly known with.
Let it be known also that Corinna is also a fitness author as she has written quite a number of books and co-authored others. Some of her popular write-ups are; “Life balance Perigee Trade” which she wrote in 1998. She also had an article titled “Strength Training for Beauty” in one of the most widely read sports magazine in 1986.
While she brainstormed with her ex-husband to co-author the book titled Workout Perigee Trade in 1991, as well as the book Fat-Free & Fit Perigee Trade in 1994 which she co-authored with Carole Jacobs, and many more other books that she had written, all these made her even more famous and renowned all-round.
