Dillian Whyte is a British professional boxer who has won quite a number of matches. He also has about 30 professional boxing records and has won 28 of those. His brother, Dean Whyte isn’t left out of the glory as he is a professional boxer as well.
Dean, the brother of Dillian, belatedly joined his brother’s career path in Martial arts, kick-boxing, and professional boxing.
He began his boxing career sometime in 2018/2019 but is fast rising as a good boxer. Maybe this fame can be linked to the fact that he has the support, backing, and coaching of Dillian Whyte who has been in the game since 2008.
Who is Dean Whyte?

Dean Whyte was born on the 1st of September 1978 in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica. He hails from a family of Dublin migrates as his grandfather known as Patrick Whyte, an Irishman decided to move to Jamaica from Ireland.
Dean has two sisters and Dillian, his younger brother although some reports carry that the family is quite large with as many as 11 kids. At a point in his life, he moved to Brixton in the United Kingdom to be with his mother who moved there sometime in 1990. It was at Brixton that the Jamaican grew up with his siblings.
His father was reportedly a farmer and butcher while his mother worked as a nurse. One of Whyte’s sisters also followed in her mother’s career as a nurse and as of 2020, they were both still in the medical profession.
Just like his younger brother, Dean had a rough childhood and had struggled to feed. He grew up being prone to street fights, bad companies, and death threats. However, they maneuvered life and were able to pull through. His younger brother, Dillian was not so lucky though as he got stabbed and shot at a point in his life.
Whyte got some level of education, although, like most people in that era, they flunked school and eventually dropped out. This was also Dean’s story and he focused on other aspects of his life afterward.
Dean Whyte Teaches Boxing
Dean had always been in the boxing scene although he only began boxing later in his life. However, he has always been close to his younger brother and so was involved in the processes and management.
Owing to his involvement in the profession, Dean has been able to successfully run a company where he teaches martial arts and hardcore boxing. He has always been passionate about helping to develop boxing at the grassroots. Whyte aims at providing all necessary opportunities for local, upcoming boxers.
Years into this venture, he eventually started boxing, following in his brother’s footsteps. Dillian being in the business long before, was quite proud and did what he could to support and encourage him. In a 2019 interview, Dean spoke about how far he has come and how much more work needed to be put into making him better.
He Manages ‘Blvckbox Global’
The 46 year old is the manager of a management and promotional company known as ‘Blvckbox Global’. He has also been involved in boxing as earlier stated, he has had quite a history and grown a huge network.
As part of his duties, Dean Whyte also oversees events and tries to guarantee that every match will be up to standard. With upcoming boxers under his management, Whyte ensures that they continue to advance through promotions and management.
Blvckbox Global began to exist in 2019 as a means to help boxing from the grassroots. Through the management of Dean, the company produces unique and valuable boxers.
Dean Whyte Once Helped Prevent an Airplane Mishap
On the 4th of December 2019, Dean and a couple of other passengers boarded a British Airways plane to Saudi Arabia. A couple of people on board were going to watch the boxing matches lined up for the week beginning that day.
However, at a point during the flight, a man got hysterical and attempted to open the plane door mid-flight. It was reported that he had a panic attack and had to be calmed down.
Dean who was in the economy section of the plane heard the ruckus and had to go help the cabin crew who found it a bit difficult to tame the man. Standing tall at 6 feet, 7 inches, Whyte was able to hold the man, pulling him away till he was calmed to his seat.
On the flight were members of the Matchroom team and boxer Anthony Joshua’s mother. They were on their way to watch the match between Anthony and Andy Ruiz while Dean was going to watch his brother’s match against Mariusz Wach.
Dean Whyte is purportedly not Dillian Whyte’s Brother
There have been a lot of rumors and talks concerning the relationship between both Whyte brothers. Although they share similar stories and have been linked closely to their childhood, the speculations still raised dust.
Revelations show that the man who is actually known as Dean Whyte was born Lemar/Lamar Scott. It is said that he only shares a close friendship with Whyte and that they are not related.
On why he bears Dean Whyte, the news states that in order to share certain privileges with the Jamaican boxer, said Lemar had to change his name and assume the role of a brother.
Also, in an interview with Dillian’s mother and sisters, there was no mention of Dean although he was also famous. Further arguing their relationship, people claimed there are rumors of Dillian and Dean being in a ‘Civil partnership.’
There is also another rumor that states that Dean changed his name yet again to ‘Aydamn’. The reasons behind the changes in names have sparked quite a number of conversations and arguments online.
When asked about this particular situation, Dean insists that he is actually Dillian’s brother and he doesn’t care how others choose to interpret it.
Dean and Tyson Fury’s Father Almost had a ‘Go’ at each other
During a press conference held in April 2022, a few days before the match between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, some members of the ‘parties’ of both boxers almost got into a brawl. The father of the ‘Gypsy King’ and the brother of the ‘Body Snatcher’ got agitated and almost engaged in a fight. During the conference, there were brewing tensions between both parties and John Fury attempted to confront Dean. However, Tyson and Dillian had to play peacemakers and prevented an escalation and possible fight.
Nonetheless, Sr. Fury has admitted to being responsible for causing the tension. He claimed that sometimes, his head wants him to do stuff his body is incapable of doing, hence his attempt to fight Whyte.
Fury, in the state of fury, challenged Dean to pick a spot so they could have the fight. However, Dean kept his cool and only beckoned to Tyson to put his father in check.
