Marcus Jordan is a former basketball star who became even more famous as the son of the legendary NBA star Michael Jordan. Although he tried building a career following in the footsteps of his father, he has not been able to replicate the feat of the older Jordan or even come close to it.
He played while he was still in college for the UCF Knights men’s basketball team of American Athletic Conference. He ended his playing career before making it to the NBA even though he achieved great success when he was in high school. He now owns and runs his Jordan-inspired sneakers boutique, known as Trophy Room, which he founded in 2016.

Born Marcus James Jordan on the 24th of December, 1990 to Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy in Illinois Chicago, Marcus was raised in Highland Park, Illinois. He is the second child of his parents. His elder sibling is his only brother Jeffrey while his younger sibling is a girl whose name is Jasmine. His parents got divorced in 2006 but his father got remarried. Ysabel and Victoria are his twin step-sisters which his father had from his second marriage to Yvette Prieto, a model.
As a child, Marcus grew up in affluence as his father was one of the more wealthy sports stars of his time. For high school, he went to Loyola Academy. The school is located in Wilmette, Illinois and it is a private college preparatory school, it is also a Jesuit school and is the Jesuit school to have the highest number of students in the United States.
His Career As A Basketball Player
Marcus was only at Loyola for his freshman year and sophomore year; Whitney Young High school was where he transferred to and completed his high school education. As the son of the great Michael Jordan Marcus was expected to be able to play basketball and he did. At the two schools, Marcus played the position of a shooting guard and even as a high school student it was clear that this Jordan was headed for greatness.
The University of Central Florida was the university he chose to attend his decision was encouraged by his father who suggested he attend UFC; he got into the school in 2009 and immediately joined the basketball team. He only played for the team for three seasons before leaving the team in 2012 although he continued to attend his classes.

When Marcus Jordan graduated from college in 2013 he had already stopped playing the game at the collegiate level. He was a good player and led his university’s team to victory on different occasions but his decision to not pursue a professional career in basketball meant he did not get drafted. Marcus Jordan never joined the NBA or played basketball professionally as a result of this there are no NBA stats on his performance as a professional basketball player.

Marcus Jordan had always displayed the ability to have a thriving career as a professional basketball player, his decision to quit playing the game have never been explained. In 2016 he opened his own shoe shop called Trophy Room. This store is known as his major source of income, but he has never revealed his earnings and because of this, his net worth is not known, Trophy Room is located in the Disney World in Florida.
That said, there are some speculations that he might be as rich as $10 million.

- When Marcus Jordan joined UFC the school was in their last year of a five-year contract they had made with the shoemakers Adidas, but in a fit of loyalty to his father’s shoe brand Nike Air Jordan, he decided to wear Air Jordan which led to the school losing the contract they had with Adidas.
- After leaving UFC’s team Jordan continued to take classes and successfully graduated in 2013 with a degree, the course he chose to study was Hospitality Management.
