After starting off their celebration in his flat, Pochettino and his friends decided to take their joy outside. At about 3am, Karina’s husband and his teammates decided to go to the nightclub. Coincidentally, Grippaldi was at the club with her friends too.
At Arrows, Mauricio was first interested in Karina’s friend. He had started a conversation with the friend and even danced with her before he eventually noticed Karina.
When he got to meet Grippaldi, they struck a friendship that went on to develop into a relationship. The relationship lasted for 3 years and then to something more intimate many more years after.
After 3 years of dating, Mauricio Pochettino decided to get married to Karina. They had a private ceremony in 1994 and at the time, the Argentine soccer player was on the verge of leaving his first senior career team for Espanyol.

Sebastiano Pochettino was born on January 24, 1995, and is a 1st Team Fitness Coach at Paris Saint Germain and Tottenham Hotspur. He graduated from St. Paul’s School in Barcelona, and then from Solent University where he has a BSc. in Sports and Exercise. Sebastiano then went on to get a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise as well from Universite Paris-Saclay.
Karina Pochettino’s second son is Maurizio who was born on March 30, 2001. He took after his father, the former Paris Saint Germain soccer player turned manager. Maurizio currently plays for Gimnastic but started off with Tottenham Hotspur’s development team. After that, he played for Watford from 2021 to 2022.
