Ken Griffey once attempted suicide because he was depressed and tired. He felt heavy with his career and teammates on his neck and even at home, he had no peace. In an interview, Ken stated that he was always arguing with his dad at home, and that put him in a depressive state.
In a bid to end it all, he attempted suicide. Thankfully, this attempt failed. However, even while in the ICU, he still argued with his dad and he ripped out the IV connected to him. Although this was settled, it still took a while for him to have a better relationship with his father.
