Many know Vladimir Duthiers as a humanitarian frontline investigative journalist famous for impactful contributions to the CBS News station as well as CNN. Vladimir Duthiers was born in New York on the 21st of December 1969 in New York. He was born to a family of mixed blood of Haiti-France who were immigrants in the United States. Vladimir is a linguist who speaks three different languages aside from English, he is proficient in French, Haitian Creole, and Mandarin Chinese language because he also has a Han Chinese ancestral origin.
Upon his graduation from High School, Vladimir enrolled at the University of Rhode Island. He started off his studies in Journalism but finished up with Political science. He bagged his degree as far back as 1991 and without any waste of time, Vladimir got employment in the Wall Street financial services industry. Not long after this, he joined the AllianceBernstein company in 1993. His dedication and resilience to work got him promoted as the sector Managing Director in charge of four regions.

This happened when he was featured as part of the CNN team assigned to cover the disastrous Haiti Earthquake that set the world in mourning. He was the interpreter due to his Haitian origin and he was the production assistant then.
CNN saw Vladimir’s passion and determination, and he shared in the glory of the Emmy Awards that the team got for covering the earthquake. With the same vigor, he was assigned to cover the Boko Haram insurgency in North-East Nigeria, where he served as a reporter. He fed the station with the up-to-date unfolding of events about the deadly activities of the Boko Haram Islamic sect. He recorded live at the forefront of the kidnapping of the Chibok Schoolgirls, and that coverage also landed him a Peabody Award.

Although he feels happy that his parents migrated from Haiti and he got the chance to live through all the natural disasters, he still feels the pains his country suffers.
