Nathan Sobey is an Australian professional basketball player currently signed with the Brisbane Bullets of the National Basketball League (NBL) as the shooting guard. He also represents Australia at the international level.

In 2010, Sobey moved to the United States to play college basketball for Cochise College. He has a record of an average of 7.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists off the bench. With his help, his team went for the NJCAA Region I Championship.

His professional career began with a deal with the Ballarat Miners of the semi-pro southeast Australian basketball league. He made his debut in the 2014-15 season. He later moved to Adelaide 36ers after he signed a three-year contract with them.
He played for the team for two seasons before he moved to Warrnambool Seahawks. Sobey led the Warrnambool in 2016 to the big v division one championship. He was named the league’s MVP.
Nathan Sobey joined the Greek league club PAOK on loan in March 2017. He was later invited to the Utah jazz’s free-agent minicamp in June 2017 and after an incredible performance, he was signed to play with the Jazz’s summer league team at the 2017 NBA Summer League.
