1. Marc Klopp’s Career
Marc would have enjoyed a glorious career under the guidance of his father, but injuries didn’t allow him to get to the peak. It plagued his career until he hung his booths in 2015.
Before the premature retirement, he had played for a couple of German clubs, notable among whom was Borussia Dortmund ll. Others are FSV Frankfurt, Klein-Karben, SV Darmstadt 98 and VFL Kemmingh. He joined the youth ranks of FSV Frankfurt, playing for the club’s under-19 team until 2007 before he joined Klein-Karben. After spending more than a year at the club, he moved to SV Darmstadt 98 in 2009.
In 2010, he signed with Borussia Dortmund ll, where he played until injuries forced him to take a break in 2012. He rested from all football activities for one year before returning in 2013. That same year, he joined VFL Kemmingh, the last club he played for before retiring in 2015.
2. Marc’s Father Wanted to Be a Medical Doctor
Initially, Marc’s father Jurgen Klopp had always desired to be a medical doctor, but he assumed that he wasn’t smart enough. So, after graduation, he started playing football. Shortly after joining Mainz 05, Klopp and Sabine, his wife back then, shaded tears of joy.

3. His Parents Divorced After 21 Years of Marriage
According to reports Marc’s parents, Sabine and Jürgen Klopp got married in 1980. But the marriage hit the rocks in 2001 after 21 years of marital bliss.
The reason behind the split is both of them failed to reconcile their differences. However, they never spoke about the issue again.
Since the divorce, Marc’s mother took a back seat from the public space. And sources claimed she maintained a good relationship with her ex-husband’s family. But what reminds unclear is whether she has found love again.
Even so, his father found love and married four years after the divorce. He walked down the aisle with Ulla Sandrock, a former waitress turned children’s writer in 2005.

As regards his marital status, nothing is clear about it. However, going through his social media pages, especially Instagram reveals there is a woman in his life named Perla Nader. What we don’t know is whether she is his wife or a girlfriend.
Judging from the dates of the posted pictures, it shows the pair have known each other for some time. The woman’s pictures and captions further indicate how much he cherishes and adores her.
5. Grandparents Are Not Alive
Marc’s grandparents (Jürgen Klopp’s parents) are dead. His grandfather died in 1998 from liver cancer. The death of his grandfather changed his father into a religious man who is never scared of expressing his beliefs publicly.
While his grandmother, Elisabeth passed away in February 2021. His father was unable to make it to her internment in Germany because of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
