However, Kamara caught the attention of many when he was spotted with something flashy in his mouth during the 2020-21 NFL season. The player does not shy away from showing off his beautiful set of diamond teeth after every one of his touchdowns.
The 29-year-old player reportedly wears a grill on both his top and bottom rows of teeth for every NFL game he plays. His custom-made VVS diamond grill was designed by Houston-area jeweler Johnny Dang. The player has not revealed how much he spent on his grills but one thing is certain, his contract extension of about $75 million with Big Saints aided it.
Alvin Kamara’s Mother Is a Liberian
Alvin was born in July 1995 in Norcross, Georgia to his parents. His mother, Adama Kamara raised him and his older sister, Garmai K. Momolu after their father left them as kids.
After attending Norcross High School, he received a scholarship offer from Syracuse University as a junior in high school, and later, he committed to play college football at the University of Alabama. However, he later transferred to Hutchinson Community College.
His mother, Adama, reportedly fled Liberia after the first Liberian war stroke. After his father left them, she struggled to raise Alvin and his sister alone in the United States. The footballer reportedly shares a strong bond with his sister.

Alvin Kamara Was Named Mr. Football in High School
During his high school days, Alvin played for the blue devils, football team. In 2011, he rushed for 1,300 yards with 17 touchdowns as a junior then in 2012, he rushed for 2,264 yards with 26 touchdowns which made his high school come first at its state championship.
For his impressive performances, he was named Georgia’s Mr. Football by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and was also selected class 6a player of the year. Kamara earned first-team all-state honors from the Georgia sports writers association and was chosen to participate in the 2013 under armor all-America game.
Before he left high school, he was considered one of the top running back prospects and was rated the No.1 all-purpose back in the 247 composite and the No.5 player in Georgia. Rival.com rated him as the No.6 player in Georgia at that time.

Alvin Kamara Was Banned From Training at the University of Alabama Due To Behavioral Issues
After having a swell time in high school, Kamara had a rather rough time at the University of Alabama. He suffered a knee injury during the preseason and later on, he was redshirted when he could not break into a recruitment class.
It was not long before Nick Saban suspended him from practicing with the team for the Sugar Bowl due to behavioral issues.
In 2014, he transferred to Hutchinson Community College in Kansas for his redshirt freshman season. At the end of the season, he was one of the top players and he got offers from both Tennessee ad the Georgia Bulldogs.
In 2015, Alvin Kamara transferred to the University of Tennessee as a volunteer and played 13 games as a redshirt sophomore. During his junior season, he was reportedly a key contributor for the volunteers in his redshirt season.
He Is the First Player in NFL History to Reach 3,000 Yards
After achieving the highest Wonderlic test score of running backs participating in the NFL combine, he participated at Tennessee’s Pro Day. He was later selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In 2017, his 728 yards rushing and 826 yards receiving was the first 700/700 season by a member of his team and third by an NFL rookie. Together with his teammate, Ingram, he became the first running back in NFL history to have over 1,500 scrimmage yards.
After playing for two more seasons, he signed a five-year contract extension before the Saints 2020 season. He finished the 2020 season with 187 carries for 932 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he was forced to miss a game after he was placed on the Covid-19 list on January 1, 2021.
The 2021 season was a good season for the player as he reached 3,000 receiving yards in his career and that made him the fastest player in NFL history to reach 3000 yards in both receiving and rushing. He also earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week afterward.

According to reports, Alvin Kamara has been involved in other business ventures. He is the sole owner of a Louisana-based juice and smoothie chain called Big Squeezy. He has other branches in Baton Rouge, Hammond, Mandeville, and New Orleans.
Alvin Kamara Was Arrested For Punching a Man Eight Times
Following the Pro Bowl in Las Vegas, the football player was arrested on February 6, 2022, and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.
According to reports, the incident allegedly took place at a Las Vegas Strip nightclub the previous day. The video surveillance showed him punching a man while his three associates stomped on the man.
The felony charge could result in a sentence of one to five years in state prison. Kamara posted bond for his release from the Clark County jail and he has a court date which has been fixed for March 8, 2022.

There are rumors that Alvin might be dating the American professional basketball player, Te’a Cooper who was previously married to Dwight Howard. However, Kamara cleared the air after he commented on Te’a post on Instagram. The two have been spotted together as well.

Alvin Kamara started earning an average annual salary of $15 million after he signed a new 5-year $75 million contract that came with a $15 million signing bonus and $33million guaranteed with Big Saints in September 2020. His net worth is rumored to be around $8 million.
