Eumir Marcial came back in a rather controversial manner from three knockdowns in his fight with Isiah Hart to earn his second win and maintain his unbeaten record while dishing Hart his third loss as a pro boxer on April 5, 2022.
The Philippines boxer was first knocked down by his opponent in the first round before he saw the ground two more times in the second round before getting himself in the third round and ending things off with a shocking knockout in the fourth.
Although Hart was on the receiving end when the bout was ended by referee Raul Caiz Jr., it still appeared as though the six-round fight was called rather too early.
Before the call, the scorecards were all reading 29 – 26 in favor of Hart who was scored 10-9 by all the judges in the first round, instead of 10 to 8.
From the start of the bout, Marcial went all out to end it very fast and even though the strategy did not go in his favor at first, his superior punching power settled matters for him after a disappointing opening of his second fight in his pro career.
Eumir Marcial comes with an air of strong promises
The 29 years old boxer who comes from the Philippines has made himself an admired fighter since the start of his amateur career which he began in 2011.
In his first three years of fighting, he won the Junior World Championships as well as 2013’s Best Asia Youth Boxer award.
He also left great records at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games where he won Gold Medal and the 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships where he earned a silver medal in the middleweight category.
The 5 feet 11 inches boxer turned pro in 2020, attracting many promoters including his fellow countryman, Manny Pacquiao through his MP Promotions which the young lad took.
His first fight was with Andrew Whitfield in December 2020 and it ended in a win for the Filipino boxer who claimed a Unanimous Decision win.
Needless to say, 2021 was not an eventful year for him or even anyone in the sporting world because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but his return to the ring for a second time in 2022 made all the difference for him as he got to still keep his record clean.

Isiah Hart’s humiliation became the third in his last four fights
The controversial victory of Eumir Felix de los Santos Marcial over Isiah Hart added more woes to the already troubling career of the 30 years-old 6-foot-2 American boxer who in his last four fights, only managed to secure a win, losing three. Two of his three losses were from total knockout while one was from a Unanimous decision.
Thus far, Hart has taken part in 10 fights since he made his debut against Dillon Kasprzak in 2018. He has won 6 of the fights and drew 1.
