Moses Simon Biography
Moses Simon was born on the 12th day of July 1995. He was born in Jos, Nigeria, and grew up there as well. Even though everyone now simply calls him Moses Simon, it is noteworthy that his full birth name is actually Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon.
He started developing a keen interest in football during his childhood days, and by the time he was just 8 years old, he got enrolled in the GBS Football Academy and that was when he started his football career training in earnest.
Moses Simon Professional Football Career
Moses Simon joined the GBS Academy in 2003 and remained there honing his skills as a footballer until 2013. While at the academy, he impressed many people with his skills and many European clubs including Liverpool FC expressed readiness to sign him.
Consequently, in 2013, Moses went into a pre-season training contract with the Dutch club AFC Ajax even after his penultimate links with English clubs such as Liverpool F.C. and Tottenham Hotspur. He made his debut with Ajax on July 13, 2013, in their friendly game with De Graafschap and featured in other games for the club’s reserve team. However, the club rescinded their decision to fully sign him thereby withdrawing him from the pre-season lineup.
On January 13, 2014, Moses signed a three-year deal with the Slovak club AS Trenčín. He then made his first appearance for the team in their match against MFK Košice which ended in a 1–1. The star made his International debut for the club in the 2014–15 UEFA Europa League campaign match against FK Vojvodina Novi Sad where he recorded his first hat trick. In total, Moses featured in 33 games with 13 goals during his stay with Trenčín before leaving the club.
Moses moved to KAA Gent in another 3-year contract on the 6th of January 2015. He went on to make his first appearance for Gent in their match against Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz which Gent won as the match ended 3-1. He also featured in other games before helping Gent to win their maiden Championship trophy in May 2015.
In the same year, Moses assisted the team to advance to the playoffs of the 2015 Belgian Super Cup which Gent later won after beating Club Brugge in the finals. In a nutshell, Moses was able to make 108 appearances with 21 goals within his three-year encounter with Gent.
In August 2018, the La Liga club Levante contracted Moses under a five-year deal where he is still playing and has so far played 19 games with 1 goal for the team.
International Career
Moses Simon’s international career started in 2003 when he was invited to join the Nigerian U-23 team where he featured in 5 games before being invited by the Nigerian coach Daniel Amokachi to join the Nigerian senior team popularly called the Super Eagles in March 2015.
He made his debut on the international front in the team’s match with Uganda in addition to playing in some other subsequent games. He was also among the Nigeria team in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Again, he was named in the Nigerian preliminary 30-man squad to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. But sadly he could not make it into the final 23 squad for the World Cup as a result of his injury. He continues to play for the team at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

Moses Simon has been married to his spouse, Ibukun Sarah Adenuga for quite a while. The lady was his long-time lover before she eventually became his wife after they tied the knot as a couple in December 2015.
