Megan Rapinoe’s Parents are known as Jim Rapinoe and Denise Rapinoe. Denise Rapinoe
The mother of Megan is Denise Rapinoe. According to reliable reports, she used to be a waitress when Megan and her twin were 22 months old, making her work night shifts. However, all that is in the past as her daughter’s success has set her up as a very wealthy celebrity mother now. Denise is also known to have supported her daughters throughout their athletic careers right from the start. Among other things, Denise would drive Megan and Rachael 2½ hours each way to their club soccer practice near Sacramento when they were much younger.
Jim Rapinoe
Jim is also making the spotlight as the father of Megan who is an award-winning American athlete. Not much is known about his personal life except that he used to work as a contractor. Also, Jim and his father, Jack, both served in the Army.

Rachael and Brian are her biologicals siblings
Megan, 39, was raised in Redding, California alongside her siblings. However, Rachael Rapinoe and Brian are her biological siblings while the other 4 were adopted. Interestingly, Rachael who is her twin is also an American former soccer player who played as a midfielder and forward for Stjarnan Women in Iceland and the United States women’s national under-23 soccer team. Megan was born 11 minutes after Rachael and they are both gay. The sisters came out to each other as gay when they were sophomores at the University of Portland. Also, Megan and her sister are not the only known gay female footballers. Others include Hannah Wilkinson and Tameka Yallop.
Brian, Megan’s older brother, taught her and Rachael to play football
Megan and her twin have idolized Brian from when they were kids. This is because Brian was the one that started teaching them how to play soccer at age three. Unfortunately, he later started using drugs when the girls were in second grade. Also, by the time Megan and Rachael were ten and Brian was fifteen, he was put in juvenile detention and was thereafter in and out of various prisons including Pelican Bay State Prison. In addition to drugs, Brian Rapinoe has been arrested for burglary. Other times, the girls’ achievements would appear in the sports section of the local paper while their brother was written up in the news section the same day according to their mother.
Brian had to watch his little sister’s first two World Cups, in 2011 and 2015, from the prison walls. Unfortunately, his drug addiction and related criminal offenses have consumed most of his adult life. But he has now made a determined effort to shun drugs after seeing his younger sister’s success in international soccer.
Meet CeCé, Austin, Michael, and Jenny
As earlier stated, Megan’s parents raised 7 children together, even though not all were not their own. Among the children, they adopted is Denise’s youngest sister, CeCé. CeCé was taken after she lost her parents in 1981. Also, Jim and Denise had to take in Brian’s son, Austin. Austin needed a home when Brian struggled with drug addiction. Adding up to the number 7 are Michael and Jenny who are products of Denise’s previous marriage.
