On the 3rd of September, 1998 Matthew and Gayle McCabe welcomed to the world their son, Jordan McCabe. Jordan was born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin which is where he also spent his childhood, details of which are not known. As a high school student in Kaukauna, he went to the local high school which also happens to be the only high school in the entire Kaukauna district.

It was when he was in high school he started to display the qualities needed to become a professional basketball player. In high school, Jordan McCabe played under Coach Michael Schalow, a man who is part of the Wisconsin basketball hall of fame for his contributions to the growth and success of high school basketball in the state. When he played for the school’s team he was one of the best players on the team.

For basketball players, the purpose of attending college is not solely to get an education but to also build their career as professional players by first playing college-level basketball. This is why in 2018 after McCabe was done with high school he enrolled at West Virginia University where he currently plays with the school’s basketball team.

Jordan McCabe has only spent one year at Virginia University and in that one year, he has proven himself in the 35 games he has played. For all the games he has been a part of McCabe has started in fifteen of them, and has accrued 25 points for himself, a feat that has not been achieved in the school’s team since 2010.

Injuries are a part of the life of any sportsperson and for Jordan McCabe, in his first season of college football, he suffered from a torn MCL which is a muscle in the knee. For him to heal properly he needed to have surgery which he did and in no time he was back to playing on the team. Regardless of all the success he has, Jordan McCabe was asked to score his first season playing college basketball and he gave himself an F believing that he could actually perform much better which he plans to do in upcoming seasons.

Jordan McCabe is still in college, where he continues to play college basketball; he obviously has dreams of going pro and playing the sport fulltime.
