One would think Abus Magomedov suffered a cursed spell after his UFC debut in 2022 because he couldn’t get anyone to fight with him. The Mixed Martial Artist whose love for fighting began at a young age, hails from Russia but fights out of Germany.
As of June 2023, he was ranked the No. 1 in his weight class and had way more fight victories than he did losses and draws. He has, to his name, the German MMA Welterweight Championship title.

1. He was born in Russia
Abusupiyan Magomedov was born on September 2, 1990 in Dagestan ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. This was where his love for fighting started as he was already drawn to wrestling.
While still young, he and his family had to move from Russia to Germany and this was where he grew up. His career in MMA even began in Germany. He began to develop skills, especially through kickboxing.
