The sports industry is multi-faceted with different people performing different roles, although those who play the sports are the biggest stars in this industry the other people who work in these fields are equally important to the running of the world of sports. Allie Clifton’s Early Life and Career
On the 30th of January, 1988 Allie Bethany Clifton was born to Kim and Bill Clifton. She is one of the three children her parents have with her elder sister Abbie and her younger brother Corey, Allie was born in Van Wert in the state of Ohio where she also grew up. The other members of her family are also involved in sports, with her brother playing basketball, her mother used to play basketball when she was in college while her father played football.
As a child, Allie already showed that she had an interest in sports and when the time came for her to choose between dance lessons and playing basketball she chose the latter. Van Wert High School was the secondary school she attended and her active participation in sports can be traced to her days at the school, where she played basketball. Allie Clifton has been described as one of the most prolific players that have come from that school; her time at Van Wert is littered with the many awards she won for the school as being a part of the school’s basketball team.
Allie Clifton’s college years were spent in the University of Toledo, in her native state of Ohio. At Toledo, she played with the Toledo Rockets, which is the university’s female basketball team and was a captain of the team for three different seasons. In 2010, she graduated from Toledo with a degree in adolescent and young adult education.
Right after college, Clifton stated to work in broadcasting which was not what she had studied while in the university; she has credited basketball with helping her find her true love in sports broadcasting. Her first job was as a sports reporter for WTVG channel which is located in Toledo, a job she had for two years before she left in 2012 and joined the broadcast team for the Cavaliers. Allie Clifton had this job for six years before she decided that she will leave the team and join Spectrum SportsNet which is affiliated with the Los Angeles Lakers. Clifton is not the only person who left the Cavaliers for the Lakers in 2018, LeBron James one of the star players of the team also moved from the Cavaliers to the Lakers.
During her time working for the Cavaliers broadcast team, Clifton also worked with Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, all three of them have their own podcast called Road Trippin’.

As already established, sports broadcasters do not enjoy as much fame as the players of the sports they cover and because of these they do not earn as much, but they still earn a good salary.

Leaving behind a good legacy as a basketball player when she was at the University of Toledo is not the only thing that Allie Clifton did when she was at college. Clifton who is married to Jason Kalsow met her husband when she was in college.
Kaslow works as a coach for the school’s basketball team; it is not known how the both of them met. The couple got married in Toledo on the 31st of August, 2013. It is not known if they have any children together.
