Babette Kosar and Bernie Kosar Were Married For Almost 2 Decades Until Their Messy Divorce
As earlier hinted, Babette Kosar was Bernie Kosar’s wife for many years, The former couple met while they were both in Miami and soon started a romantic relationship which saw them get married on June 22, 1990.
The pair birthed four children namely; Sara Lindsey Kosar, Rachel Korsar, Rebecca Kosar, and Joseph Kosar. Unfortunately, trouble began to brew in their marriage leading up to a divorce in 2005 after 15 years of being together.
Babette cited his reckless spending and bad investments as the cause of their divorce. She also accused Bernie of taking drugs even though he denied it. The Florida native reportedly asked a judge to order her ex-husband to undergo drug and psychiatric tests. At that time, she claimed the former Cleveland Browns quarterback was acting bizarrely and was giving money and property to his relatives and friends.
The divorce which was said to be messy was settled in 2007 and the final proceedings were presided over by Larry Seidlin. Babette walked away with $3 million in a divorce settlement which accounted for about one-third of his total NFL salary.
