Bostin Loyd was a Los Angeles, California-based professional bodybuilder and fitness enthusiast. He was born and raised by bodybuilder parents, and at 29, he passed away from an aortic dissection.
Loyd, who won the NPC Contra Costa in Hayward, California, was survived by his partner Ariella Giavanna Palumbo, and son Jaxtin Loyd. Here’s what we know about the Los Angeles-born bodybuilder’s life and times.
Biography Of Bostin Loyd
Bostin Loyd was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 29, 1992. When he was born, his mother wanted him to be named Justin, but his father came up with “Bostin.”
He comes from a line of bodybuilders and fitness fans. His father, Jon Loyd, gained notoriety in the 1980s for his successes in the bodybuilding world, particularly his victories at the 1982 Gold’s Classics-NPC and the 1982 California Championships-NPC. Maria Raia, Loyd’s mother, is well-known for winning over 40 bodybuilding competitions and running a number of Gold’s Gyms in northern and southern California. She is a personal trainer and owner of Fossil Fitness in Spring Hill, Florida.
Loyd was introduced to bodybuilding by his mother when he was young. At about 2 or 3, he was fascinated by how his mother was helping people pose. So he would always watch.
Additionally, he started going to the shows when his mother started competing.
One day, he wanted to go on stage with her at one of the shows. So one of the judges allowed him to go on stage. That was how he started posing with his mother on stage.
Following that, he began guest posing at muscle beach shows. He also posed for children with cancer and raised a lot of money for them. He was selling some of these pictures for $5 and donating the proceeds to charity.
Despite the fact that the names of the schools he attended were unknown at the time of writing, his mother mentioned in an interview that he was a popular student. He received all A’s in his classes. Furthermore, he did not want to receive anything less than an A in any of his subjects.

Our findings have shown that in 2013, shortly after winning the NPC Contra Costa, Bostin Loyd sparked some controversy when he recorded a video in which he talked openly and frankly about his steroid regimen, revealing that he and other bodybuilders do not just rely on lifting weights but also take steroids to build their bodies.
When he released the video on YouTube, it quickly went viral and sparked serious controversy about how bodybuilders truly manage to get their bodies to get so big.
Before Loyd made his video, many people had suspected that bodybuilders use steroids to build their bodies but no one talked about it much. However, with his video, the open secret was not finally entirely in the open and it got many people furious.
However, he did not mind being hated for saying what he said in his video. In fact, according to him, he is glad he did it because the hate that came his way afterward, helped him achieve fame.
Bostin Loyd was not just a bodybuilder, he was also a businessman who even established his own clothing company. Loyd called his company 3CC. The company was involved in the selling of all kinds of shirts including hoodies and it did quite well on the market.

He Died In February 2022 At 29
On February 25, 2022, Bostin Loyd went home from a gym session and passed out. He was taken to the hospital and CPR was attempted by paramedics; unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Due to his stage 5 kidney failure, it was initially considered that Loyd died as a result of a heart attack. However, it appears that an aortic dissection caused his death. An aortic dissection occurs when the major artery leading to the heart separates, resulting in internal bleeding and, in most cases, death.
He was survived by his wife Ariella Giavanna Palumbo, a bodybuilder and one-time overall winner of the OCB Yankee Classic, and his son, Jaxtin Loyd.
