For obvious reasons, 2020 will probably go down in history as one of the most difficult years for humanity. Million of people have lost their loved ones to the COVID-19 pandemic just as a lot of prominent figures have passed on; from Kobe Bryant to Irrfan Khan, Kelly Preston, Chadwick Boseman, Sean Connery, Diego Maradona, and now, Brodie Lee, amongst so many others.
Born on the 16th of December 1979, Jonathan Huber was best known as a professional wrestler and for his time with the WWE where he performed with the ring name Luke Harper. He was also an actor and until his death, he was a part of the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion wherein he was known as Brodie Lee.
The Wrestler Was Worth at Least $3 Million When He Passed
There is no doubt that Brodie Lee was an accomplished wrestler. The peak of his wrestling career came in 2012 when he signed a developmental contract to join the WWE. With that, he picked the name Luke Harper and debuted at a house show of WWE’s Florida Championship Wrestling on the 18th of May.
He would later gain notoriety as a member of The Wyatt Family, performing in WWE’s most popular programs like Raw, SmackDown, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania XXX, Money in the Bank, and Battleground.
Salaries from His Wrestling Career Was the Major Source of His Wealth
Apart from his exploits with the WWE, Brodie Lee worked with other professional wrestling promotions; thus it was obvious that wrestling was the major source of his wealth. After he left WWE in December 2019, he joined AEW and made his debut thereof in March 2020 as Brodie Lee. Before WWE and AEW, he had acquired an extensive resume in the industry and had been earning as a wrestler since 2003 which was when he became a professional, wrestling as a backyard wrestler.
From 2007 to 2012, he plied his trade with the now-defunct, Philadelphia-based wrestling promotion, Chikara. He also competed in other promotions like the New York-based Squared Circle Wrestling and Jersey All Pro Wrestling, among other independent circuits. All of these laid the foundation upon which he became a popular wrestler and of course, acquired his wealth, even though his earning power at this point of his career has remained unknown to the public.
When he was with the WWE, it was claimed that the wrestler was earning $550,000 yearly.
Movies and Video Games Were Also Sources of His Fortune
Being a popular wrestler greatly admired for his style of wrestling and persona, it is only natural that Brodie Lee was featured as a playable character in several WWE video games like WWE 2k15, WWE 2k16, WWE 2k17, WWE 2k18, WWE 2k19, and WWE 2k20. While what he has made from being featured in all of these games has never been publicly revealed, there is no doubt they added to his wealth.
The man was also an actor and to the best of our knowledge, his first acting role was in 2017 when he played a guest role as a character named Pitchfork Perry in the period drama television series, Damnation. You will also find him as Lachlan Allsopp in Mohawk, a political action-horror film directed by Ted Geoghegan. The acting roles must have contributed a significant figure to the estimated $3 million net worth that Brodie Lee left behind.
A Lung Infection Claimed Brodie Lee’s Life on the 26th of December 2020
News of Brodie Lee’s death circulated after the All Elite Wrestling issued a statement about it. Mourning his passing, the promotion described Brodie as a “very kind soul that starkly contradicted his (wrestling) persona as Mr. Brodie Lee.”
Confirming the death of the wrestler, his wife Amanda Huber shared a post on Instagram which she captioned “My best friend died today”. Based on what Amanda related, the wrestler lost his life to a lung issue that had nothing to do with the coronavirus. “He was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet…”, she wrote.
The wrestler passed away surrounded by loved ones at Mayo Clinic, he died at the age of 41. His death came as a huge shock to the wrestling world which lost Shad Gaspard earlier this year. Prominent wrestling figures and promotion have paid their tributes to the wrestler, with the WWE sharing a documentary about his journey.

Brodie Is Survived By His Wife and Two Sons
The late wrestler is survived by his wife Amanda Huber (Synndy Synn) and their two sons named Brodie and Nolan.
Based on what people have said about Jonathan Huber, he was a good husband as much as he was a loving and caring father. During Father’s Day of 2020, Huber thanked Brodie for being the most incredible example of a man to their boys, and for always prioritizing his family over everything.
Lee got married to his wife in 2008, she was once a professional wrestler, so it is easy to see it was how they met. They had their second son in 2017.
