DeLana Harvick Biography
Delana Harvick, formerly known as Delana Lynn Linville, was born in Kernersville, North Carolina in the United States of America, on July 7, 1973.
Delana was born into the Linville family, and it is not known if she has any siblings, as no mention has ever been made of them.
Her father, John Paul Linville, is a former Busch series race driver. He was the one who introduced Delana to the racing car world, and it is believed that she was taken to the race car events as early as she was 3 weeks old.
So she probably knew the sound of race cars zipping past her little tiny ears before she could talk. Her mother is Joyce Linville.
After high school, she proceeded to college at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, where she graduated with a degree in English Language. She initially wanted to be a teacher, but as stated, when the time came, the allure of the fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping racing life was just too strong for her to refuse.
After graduating from college, DeLana’s first real job was working with Jeff Gordon. She worked in his publicity team for a while before she went on to work for Randy Lajoie; it was while working for him that she met her then-boyfriend and current husband in 1999.
Married, Husband, and Children
Delana Harvick is happily married to Kevin Harvick, the popular professional NASCAR car racing driver. She met Kevin through a mutual friend.
They both began dating in 2000, and by 2001, the relationship had gotten serious enough for them to take things to the next level. They got married on February 28, 2001.
After their wedding, the couple decided to concentrate more on their careers and wait for a few years before they eventually started having children. That waiting period would eventually span for almost 11 whole years.
The Harvicks had their first child, a son Keelan, on July 8, 2012. Rather than rushing to have more kids, the couple took their time before they had their second child, a daughter named Piper Grace, on December 28, 2017.
Her husband announced the birth of their daughter via his official Twitter handle, welcoming her to the Harvick gang. The car driver stated that she came early as they were not expecting her arrival until January 2018.
DeLana and her husband are not just a couple, they are also business partners. They both own Kevin Harvicks Inc, that has produced a few drivers who have competed in NASCAR organized racing competitions. She was the manager and co-founder of the business.
They eventually sold the company to the owner of the Richard Childress Racing team in 2011. They also own another company, Kevin Harvicks Management LLC – a sports management company that specializes in the management of professional athletes.
The couple established a foundation called Kevin Harvick Foundation (KHF) in 2010; it was established to provide financial support to young athletes who may have trouble financially paying their way through college, and so many other offshoot programs.
