Diane Addonizio is the wife of the popular and famous former American football star player, actor, and sports analyst Howie Long. A graduate of law, she gained fame after tying the knots with the former NFL star player in 1982. Close to four decades later, the two have come a long way and have achieved so much together.
Diane Addonizio Biography
Diane Addonizio was born in Red Bank in 1962 and was raised in New Jersey by a father Frank Addonizio who was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He also worked as a Security Director of the IIT subsidiary while her mother, Marie Cecere, who was a housewife. Her parents were high school sweethearts who went on to marry.
Diane was raised alongside a single brother, James Addonizio who is said to also be an attorney like his sister. Both had always been fond of the law profession since they were quite young.
As per her educational background, very little is known about the high school she attended. What we do know is that following her high school graduation, she proceeded to the Villanova University in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania, US. After she was through, she proceeded to the University of Southern California (USC) school of law from where she later graduated.
Even though she is a lawyer, she has not come to practice it as a profession, unlike her brother.
Her marriage to Howie Long
As already pointed out, the fame of Diane Addonizio is thanks to her marriage to the legendary football player, Howie Long who at the moment is working with Fox as a sports analyst.
The couple has a rather interesting love story which has been drawn back to the late 1970s. It was at that point that they first got to know each other, but it was until 1980 that they started dating when they were both students of Villanova University.
After dating for a short while, Howie went on a knee and proposed to his better half in 1981 and then on 27 June 1982, they got married soon after they graduated.
Their union was blessed with its first fruit on March 28, 1985, when Christopher Howard Long was born. Chris Long has also followed the footsteps of his father as he is also a former football player; a two-time Super Bowl champ.
Their second child, Kyle Long who was born on December 5, 1988, is also a former football player. Although he has 3 Pro Bowl to his name, he was not fortunate in his career to win the Super Bowl. The third child of Diane and Howie is Howard Long, Jr., who was born in 1990. While he is the only one in the family who has not played professional football, he is working in the same field as a scouting and a personal assistant.
The family has been living together in peace in their $6 million home located in Virginia. Although there have been rumors in some quarters of a possible divorce, the couple remained silent over the speculation and have continued to remain ever close.

Howard Matthew Moses Long was born on the 6th of January 1960. He was a former NFL defensive star player, actor cum broadcaster. Following Howie’s retirement from American football, he ventured into broadcasting. He currently works with Fox News as a sports analyst.
Looking at his career records, Howie has spent 13 seasons in the NFL with the Raiders. He had a series of stellar performances and made records. During his NFL days, he was named to 8 Pro Bowls, and his phenomenal performance and display aided the Los Angeles Raiders to clinch a championship win in Super Bowl XVlll in 1984. And he was finally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
