Drew Spence was born in the year 1992, specifically on the 23rd day of the month of October. She was born in London, England. The identity of her parents has not been revealed just yet. However, the footballer has spoken glowingly of them in the past.
Drew has a brother called Lewis Spence. Lewis is himself a non-league footballer. According to sources, Drew was passionate about the game of football right from her childhood and she was encouraged by her brother Lewis. She also got the support of her parents with regards to her love for sports.

Drew Spence made her debut into international football from a young age. She played for the popular English team Arsenal before later joining Fulham during her youth career.
However, it was in 2008 that Spence was signed to Chelsea, while in Chelsea, Spence helped the club to advance to the playoffs and finals for the first time during the FA Women’s Cup in 2012.
During the finals with Birmingham City, she ensured that she held the midfield tight leading to a 2-2 draw. However, luck ran out of Chelsea during the penalty shootout at where they lost to Birmingham City.
Notwithstanding, Spence was determined to win league in the next season and by 2015 she helped Chelsea into winning their first FA title as well as a the League finalist, due to this, Spence secured another two-year contract extension with Chelsea, where she is still currently playing. It could be recalled that Eni Auko lodged a formal complaint against the player at the center of Eni Aluko’s original racism claims against the England manager Mark Sampson on account of racist remarks, alleging the that Manager made derogatory racial as well as prejudicial connotations, against her during the China Cup in 2015. Therefore, Eni Aluko named Spence as her key witness as at the time the incident took place, however, the England Manager was later exonerated from the accusations.
Also, Spence was criticized for a deadly tackle she made on Arsenal’s Kim Little during a 5–0 victory that left her with an injury that got her off the pitch for 10 weeks. The criticism was further ignited by the failure of the referee to penalize Spence with a red card for the strong rough against Kim.
