Eddie Stephen Hall is a British former professional strongman who won the world’s strongest man competition in 2017. He has won multiple competitions including the UK’s strongest man and England’s strongest man competitions more than once.
The beast is also known as the current official deadlift world record holder, pulling 500 kilograms in strongman rules. Regarding his physique, Eddie Hall revealed in an interview that a genetic mutation that causes myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy added to his large muscle mass. He announced his intention to retire from the world’s strongest man due to health-related issues and move to lower weight competitions in 2017.

The former professional strongman was born on 15 January 1988, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. He attended Clayton High School but he was expelled at the tender age of 15.

The six feet three inches’ champion started off as a mechanic in the garage at the Robert Wiseman dairies site in Market Drayton, Shropshire. That was when he began to train like a bodybuilder and then later entered the strongman circuit.
After he joined the England championship in 2010, he won the championship in his first attempt by half a point. He was trained in iceman gym before he formally appeared in Europe’s strongest man in 2013 and also the world’s strongest man.
He had his break when he made the world record of lifting the 462kg in the deadlift in march 2015. In March 2016, he had another record of lifting 465kg. He set a new world record in the deadlift in 2016 when he was able to lift 500kg despite the fact that he passed out after lifting it.
Hall is not just a strongman but also an actor. He had appeared in The Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017. In 2018, he appeared on Celebs in Solitary, a show on channel 5. He attempted to spend five days in solitary in the show.
Throughout his professional career, he has won titles and awards to his name. Aside from winning a world record of lifting 500kg, he also won an axle press record of 216kg. He has a record that is not official yet, it is a record of a silver dollar deadlift that he gained when he was able to lift 539kg.
