Elise Kellond-Knight is an Australian international soccer player who is well known as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Australian women’s national team. She is also one of the most capped players with 100 appearances for the national.
She currently plays for NWSL side Reign FC. She has represented her country so well at both the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The fantastic Australian defensive-midfielder was born Elise Kellond-Knight on the 10th August 1990 in Australia’s city of Southport. Information on her family’s background, early childhood, name of parents and siblings, and educational background are not yet known to the media. The only thing that is known about her childhood is that it is at that point that she first fell in love with football.

Career stats
Knight began her successful career in football in 2008 when she joined the Brisbane Roar where she played for 7 years with 68 appearances and netting 8 times for the club. In fact, she was jointly awarded the Young Player of the Year Award alongside Ellyse Perry of Canberra United during the yearly award dinner of Westfield W-League in 2009.
In 2015, she moved to FFC Turbine Potsdam, where she made 50 appearances and scored 4 goals for the club before exiting at the end of 2017. She had intended to make a move to Reign FC in the NWSL, but a discovery claim made the North Carolina Courage hindered her from making the move.
Kellond-Knight penned a short term contract with Hammarby in the Damallsvenskan in April 2018 but ended up extending the contract in June to the end of the season. She has featured in 20 games for the club.
Following her end of the deal with Hammarby, she signed another deal with Melbourne City for 2018/19 W-League season, featuring in 11 games and scoring 2 goals in the process.
In September 2018, there was an announcement from Reign FC that the defensive-midfielder had successfully signed a deal with the club for 2019 NWSL season.
Elise Kellond-Knight’s football career will not be complete without her contributions to the Australian Women’s national team. She began to play international football when she joined the Under-20 national team in 2007, where she featured in 13 games for the team.
The national team’s top management saw what a talent she was that they called her to join the senior national team.
She showed what was really made of by her stellar performances at both the 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. And she because of her performance she was named in both 2011 and 2015 FIFA “All-Star Teams”.
Kellond-Knight made her 100th appearance in national colors in a 1-1 all draw friendly match against England on October 9th, 2018. Her international career which began in 2007 till date, she has featured in 106 games for her country.
